SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS

Classified as a Chronic condition by modern medicine. The other names are Dandruff, Seborrheic Eczema, and Cradle cap.

Seborrheic Dermatitis is a common inflammatory skin condition white or yellow flaky scales. Mostly in the oily parts, like face, scalp and the insides of the ear. It could present itself with redness sometimes.

Although modern science has not found the cause of Seborrheic Dermatitis, they believe it is due to Hormonal imbalance, a weakened immune system, or lack of nutrients.

Stress or Fatigue seems to aggravate this condition. Weather extremes, Skin problems, using a lotion which has a high percentage of Alcohol, are all factors that seem to contribute.

SYMPTOMS:

Seborrheic dermatitis mostly occurs in areas where there could be a build up of oil secretions. Areas are Scalp, eyebrows, eyelids, the crease of the nose, behind the ears, and the chest.

Seborrheic Dermatitis can cause stress, a low self-esteem, and an embarrassment.
